Social ProgramsIn today’s reality the scope of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been considerably broadened. The Management of METALLOINVEST adopts a comprehensive approach towards CSR-related issues, since the Holding is involved in the wide range of socio-economic processes at local, regional and national levels… All the enterprises that make up the Holding are the main employers and taxpayers of Kursk, Orenburg and Belgorod regions; therefore a great level of social responsibility has become a tradition for METALLOINVEST. Social programs implemented by the Holding cover not only its employees, but are also geared towards improving living conditions for the citizens of the regions, where the enterprises are located. The Holding’s social programs traditionally include 4 main directions: 1. Social assistance to the Holding’s employees and their families, including financial support for the most unprotected groups such as veterans, teachers, doctors, families with many children and incomplete families. This direction includes the organization of medical treatment and recreation for the Holding’s employees, their families and pensioners. METALLOINVEST also channels considerable funds to ensure high quality medical services and living conditions. 2. Financing development of medical institutions. METALLOINVEST finances the development of public health care by purchasing expensive medical equipment and financing reconstruction of the regional medical institutions. The great attention is paid to health promotion and illness prevention. The Holding’s enterprises actively promote healthy lifestyle by organizing corporate sport competitions and other events. 3. Development of mass sport for children and youth, providing an availability of sport for local communities and employees. 4. Support of education in Company’s regions. Financial support of schools and infant schools, joint programs with steel and mining universities. 5. Supporting the housing programs. The corporate housing policy includes the mortgage lending programs for the employees, as well as the programs of construction of low cost accommodation. 6. Active participation in the social programs of the regions, where the Holding is present: Kursk, Orenburg and Belgorod regions. |
