Environmental policy
The environmental policy of METALLOINVEST is directed at searching for optimal technological solutions that minimize the impact of man’s activities on the ecosystems of the regions where the Holding’s companies are located. Use of best mining and processing technologies, supported by constant internal environmental controls, allows the Holding to develop its productions in accordance with sustainable development principles.
The Company’s main environmental principles are:
- Compliance with all requirements and standards established by relevant environmental legislation
- Improvement of the environmental performance parameters of the production processes
- Consideration of environmental requirements in the Company’s investment policy when developing measures relating to reconstruction and technological renovation of production
- Regular control over the level of impact exerted by the works’ production activities on the environment
- Conducting regular training, informing and involvement of the personnel into solution of environmental protection issues
- Compliance of all employees with the environmental requirements and standards
- Informing stakeholders on the activities of the Holding’s companies in the area of environmental protection
To provide effective environmental management and provide environmental safety enterprises of the Holding are using an Environmental Management System (EMS) certified according to ISO 14001.
