Mikhailovsky GOK is awarded by Russian Orthodox Church

Russian Orthodox Church highly appreciated Mikhailovsky GOK contribution to rebuilding Korennaya Pustyn Monastery (Kursk Area).

Archbishop of Kursk and Rylsk German  awarded MGOK  Managing Director Sergey Kretov with  the 1st class Znamenskaya Medal of Russian Orthodox Church on a grand opening of  the reconstructed Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Church on November, 9.

“We want to thank and honor  everyone who helped us at the rebuilding of the Temple.  It shows us the importance of Korennaya Pustyn Monastery as one of the major Russian religious and cultural centers", Archbishop of Kursk and Rylsk German said.

The  reconstruction of the church  was one of the conditions to return from USA Znamenskaya Icon of the Blessed Virgin (the most praised reliquary of the monastery). Icon has been out of Russia since 1920.

“ MGOK could not stay aside from rebirth of the great Russian  holy  place.  Every  enterprise  employee may consider himself as a participant of a kind and great deed — rebuilding of the monastery, as their hard work contributed to it”, Sergey Kretov said.
